From the Field: Plug and Play Solutions

The second boarding house of the Stayery brand is being built in Bielefeld’s city centre, after the Berlin branch already opened in early February 2019. The Serviced Apartments offer is aimed primarily at guests who wish to combine the comfort of a temporary flat with the service of a hotel. The installation of the shower trays in the 126 flats in Bielefeld is as modern as the residence itself. To make installation quicker, cheaper and safer, simple plug and play solutions are implemented with the installation box Easy Connect and Minimum Support.

The Easy Connect installation box after the screed has been laid. The cover protects the drain inside from dirt and damage.

The installation box is cut to the required height. The installation height is flexible between 105 and 205 mm and the box does not need to be additionally lined.

The supplied and pre-assembled sealing sleeve is simply glued into the installation box.

After the tiler has applied the waterproofing slurry, the Easy Connect installation box is integrated into the composite waterproofing in accordance with DIN 18534.

Before the shower tray is fitted, the waste must be installed. The Bielefeld STAYERY uses the Solid diesel self-cleaning drain fittings.

The Minimum Support was already pre-assembled ex-works with the shower tray. The installer only has to apply the adhesive and glue the shower tray to the screed.

The waste is tightened and a final inspection is made.

The 126 shower areas were realized in the Bielefeld STAYERY in a time-saving and standard-compliant manner thanks to the clever combination solution of EASY CONNECT and MINIMUM SUPPORT system.
